Jean-Luc Therrien is on the list of the top “30 classical artists under 30” compiled by CBC Music in 2020. He was slated to perform Jacques Hétu’s Piano concerto No. 2 with the NAC Orchestra this season.
He is accompanied by the trombonist and conductor Alain Trudel, who premiered Hétu’s Trombone Concerto, recorded an album dedicated to his music and was Youth and Family conductor at the NAC (2012–2019), as well as Vicky Tremblay, who prepares a master’s degree in Musicology at the University of Montreal and is interested in musical composition in Quebec.
The three of them will discuss the works of Jacques Hétu and the process of music making by soloists.
Presented in French only.
