Michael Bowden

Michael Bowden was born on a beautiful August morning and has been an early riser ever since. A prairie boy, he’s not as far-sighted as he’d like. His work as an educator has been maturing for 25 years, absorbed into the Francophonie like a child adopted by the culture. His work as a parent, almost exclusively in English, defines him in an ongoing and revealing way. Finally, his work as a writer is both original and unexpected, a constant surprise that inspires dreams for the future. Michael lives in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, where the river freezes in winter, opening up icy trails packed with possibilities.
