Trans performer, writer and producer Anais West (he/they) is a settler of Polish descent, living on the traditional unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh people (Vancouver). His transdisciplinary plays include Underground Absolute Fiction (Rumble Theatre, Vancouver), Poly Queer Love Ballad (Queer Arts Festival, frank theatre and Zee Zee Theatre, Vancouver; Theatre Passe Muraille, Toronto), and The Café (Aphotic Theatre, ITSAZOO Productions and PuSh Festival, Vancouver).

As an actor, Anais has worked with the National Arts Centre, Orange Noyée, Savage Society, The Firehall Arts Centre, and Théâtre la Seizieme. His work has been nominated for two Jessie Richardson Awards, and he won the 2023 Wildfire National Playwriting Competition. Most recently, his writing was published in This Is Beyond: A Time Capsule of Queer Experience (Playwrights Canada Press, 2023). Anais is the artistic producer (since 2018) of the frank theatre company.
