  Featuring Jack Everly

  Jack Everly is the Principal Pops Conductor of the Indianapolis and Baltimore Symphony Orchestras, Naples Philharmonic Orchestra, and the National Arts Centre Orchestra.  He has conducted the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl, The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, the San Francisco Symphony, and numerous appearances with The Cleveland Orchestra at Blossom Music Center. Maestro Everly conducts over 90 performances in more than 22 North American cities every season.

  Celebrating his 10th anniversary as Music Director of the National Memorial Day Concert and A Capitol Fourth on PBS, Maestro Everly proudly leads the National Symphony Orchestra (USA) in these patriotic celebrations on the National Mall.  These concerts attract hundreds of thousands attendees on the lawn and the broadcasts reach millions of viewers and are some of the very highest rated programming on PBS television.

  Mr. Everly is the also Music Director of IPL Yuletide Celebration, now a 30+ year tradition. He led the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in its first Pops recording, Yuletide Celebration, Volume One, that included three of his own orchestrations, Some of his other recordings include In The Presence featuring the Czech Philharmonic and Daniel Rodriguez, Sandi Patty’s Broadway Stories, the soundtrack to Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and Everything's Coming Up Roses: The Complete Overtures Of Jule Styne.

  Originally appointed by Mikhail Baryshnikov, Mr. Everly was conductor of the American Ballet Theatre for 14 years, where he served as Music Director. In addition to his ABT tenure, he teamed with Marvin Hamlisch on Broadway shows that Mr. Hamlisch scored.  He conducted Carol Channing hundreds of times in Hello, Dolly! in two separate Broadway productions.

  Maestro Everly, a graduate of the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, is a recipient of the 2015 Indiana Historical Society Living Legends Award and holds an Honorary Doctorate of Arts from Franklin College in his home state of Indiana. He is a proud resident of the Indianapolis community and when not on the podium you can find Maestro Everly at home with his family.

  M. Everly est par ailleurs fier de célébrer dix ans à la direction du National Symphony Orchestra au National Mall à Washington à titre de directeur musical du National Memorial Day Concert et de l’événement A Capitol Fourth, deux célébrations diffusées au réseau PBS. Ces concerts en plein air attirent chaque année des centaines de milliers de personnes et sont suivis par des millions de téléspectateurs. Ils comptent parmi les programmes du réseau de télévision PBS qui récoltent les plus hautes cotes d’écoute.

  Le maestro Everly est également le directeur musical de la IPL Yuletide Celebration, une tradition maintenant vieille de plus de 30 ans. C’est lui qui était à la barre du tout premier album Pops de l’Orchestre symphonique d’Indianapolis, Yuletide Celebration, Volume 1, sur lequel on retrouve trois pièces qu’il a lui-même orchestrées. Parmi ses autres collaborations sur disque figurent In The Presence gravé avec l’Orchestre philharmonique de la République tchèque et Daniel Rodriguez, Broadway Stories de la chanteuse Sandi Patty, la trame sonore du Bossu de Notre-Dame de Disney, et Everything’s Coming Up Roses: The Complete Overtures Of Jule Styne.

  Il a dirigé par ailleurs pendant 14 ans l’American Ballet Theatre (ABT), dont il a été le directeur musical, nommé à ce poste par Mikhaïl Barychnikov. Pendant son mandat à l’ABT, il a collaboré avec Marvin Hamlisch à des spectacles de Broadway que ce dernier a mis en musique. Il a également dirigé Carol Channing dans des centaines de représentations de Hello, Dolly! au fil de deux productions distinctes de Broadway.

  Emmy, Grammy, Tony, and SAG Award nominee, NORM LEWIS, can currently be seen onstage starring in the national tour of the Tony Award-winning production of A Soldier's Play. He recently starred in Spike Lee's critically acclaimed, "Da 5 Bloods," and in the groundbreaking FX series, Pose. Additionally, Mr. Lewis can be seen starring in Amazon Prime's newest series, Swarm, and Hulu's latest musical series, Up Here. He was also seen as 'Caiaphas' in the award-winning NBC television special, “Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert!,” alongside John Legend, Sara Bareilles, and Alice Cooper. 

  Mr. Lewis returned to Broadway in the Fall of 2021, starring in Chicken and Biscuits at the Circle In The Square Theatre. He previously appeared in the Broadway revival of Once on This Island and as Sweeney Todd in the Off-Broadway production of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Barrow Street Theatre, receiving the AUDELCO Award for his performance. In May of 2014, he made history as The Phantom of the Opera’s first African American Phantom on Broadway. 

  He has been seen on PBS in the Live From Lincoln Center productions of Showboat with Vanessa Williams, Norm Lewis: Who Am I?, New Year’s Eve: A Gershwin Celebration with Diane Reeves, as well as American Voices with Renée Fleming and the PBS Specials First You Dream – The Music of Kander & Ebb and Ella Wishes You A Swingin' Christmas. He can be seen recurring in the VH1 series, Daytime Divas, also alongside Vanessa Williams. His additional television credits include Women of The Movement, Law & Order, Dr. Death, Mrs. America, Better Things, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Bull, Chicago Med, Gotham, The Blacklist, and Blue Bloods, as well as in his recurring role as Senator Edison Davis on the hit drama Scandal. 

  Mr. Lewis is a proud, founding member of Black Theatre United, an organization which stands together to help protect Black people, Black talent and Black lives of all shapes and orientations in theatre and communities across the country. He received Tony, Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award nominations for his performance as Porgy in the Broadway production of The Gershwins’ Porgy & Bess. Other Broadway credits include Sondheim on Sondheim, The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Chicago, Amour, The Wild Party, Side Show, Miss Saigon, and The Who’s Tommy. In London’s West End he has appeared as Javert in Les Misérables and Les Misérables: The 25th Anniversary Concert, which aired on PBS. Off-Broadway Mr. Lewis has performed in Dessa Rose(Drama Desk nomination, AUDELCO Award), Shakespeare in the Park’sThe Tempest, The Two Gentlemen of Verona (Drama League nomination), Captains Courageous, and A New Brain. His regional credits include Porgy in The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess (A.R.T.), Ragtime, Dreamgirls (with Jennifer Holliday), First You Dream, Sweeney Todd, and The Fantasticks. His additional film credits include Christmas In Tune (starring opposite Reba McEntire), Magnum Opus, Winter’s Tale, Sex and the City 2, Confidences, and Preaching to the Choir.
