Vera Vinter

Vera Vinter is an artist, songwriter and producer from Stora Lappträsk in the north of Sweden. Her words and voice, often mixed with raw electric guitar and glittering acoustic sound, creates it´s own unique universe. Poetic lyrics tell of childhood memories from the countryside of North Bothnia. Forests, lakes, wooden houses. Her music is a mixture of folk and alternative pop with lyrics in Swedish and the dialect Kalixmål. 

In her songwriting with others, Vera uses her sense of lyrics and melody to create touching songs. She uses both Swedish and English texts and sometimes she works completely instrumentally. Together with the violinist, songwriter and producer Hanna Ekström, she creates a unique low-pitched alternative pop sound where the Swedish folk tone is always present.
