Kevin Pereira

An artist of Québécois and Portuguese heritage, Kevin Pereira discovered the performing arts at the age of seven with Les Petits Chanteurs de Granby. During his eight years with that ensemble, he sang in several major concerts and toured the Czech Republic, Austria and Germany. After completing a college diploma in theatrical exploration, he decided to move into the visual arts to investigate other forms of expression. However, the acting bug won out, and he enrolled in the acting program at UQAM’s École supérieure de théâtre, from which he graduated. At the end of his training, he flew to the Czech Republic to attend UQAM’s Summer School in Prague in film creation. Since leaving university, he has been keen to reconnect with the three arts that shaped his identity, rediscover his Portuguese roots, and continue to nurture his artistic practice through creation.
